Leeds, Al. Car Seat Education back Car crashes remain the number one killer of children ages 3-14 in the United States. Leeds Fire Department is now providing Child Safety Seat Education. This is an important service that we proudly offer. The program will teach parents/caregivers the proper way to safely install their child’s safety seat. The car seat program is maintained by the Leeds Fire Prevention Department. At this time, we have two certified car seat technicians, one of which is the first currently employed firefighter in Alabama capable of training others to become car seat technicians. Due to the limited amount of car seat technicians at this time, please send us an email or contact Leeds Station #1 to set up an appointment to have your child’s car seat installed.
